Edwin Keeler, CNMT, NCT, RT(CT) graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of South Carolina at Aiken. He is currently employed at University Hospital in Augusta Georgia where he works strictly in Nuclear Cardiology. Outside of his cardiology experience, Edwin is an instructor in the Nuclear Medicine Program at Augusta University and is currently attending Francis Marion University to get his Master’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Executive Healthcare Management. He has attended the SNMMI-TS Leadership Academy, serves on the SNMMI-TS By-Laws Committee, and is a member of the Georgia Technologist Advocacy Group. He has previously held office with the GSNMT as treasurer the past four years.
HOLLIE GIBBS, Secretary
Hollie Gibbs, CNMT, NCT, graduated summa cum laude from Medical College of Georgia in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences. She has been employed by University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, since graduation and has spent the majority of her career specializing in nuclear cardiology. She has served as Secretary and as President of the Augusta Nuclear Technologists Society. She is a lifelong resident of the Augusta-area and enjoys worshiping the Lord with her family at South Haven Baptist Church of Hephzibah, Georgia, as well as being a devoted wife to Jason since 2007.
KAREN SHUMATE, Treasurer
Karen Shumate, CNMT, RT(R)(CT)(N) graduated from West Georgia Technical College in 2013 with an associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and then graduated from Chattanooga State Technical Community College’s Nuclear Medical Technology and PET program in 2014-15. She also has a background in nursing with a Nursing Associate Degree from West Georgia Technical College. She is currently employed at Northside Hospital at the Fayetteville PET imaging facility. She is an active volunteer with the Douglas County school system speaking at STEM events for the past three years. Outside of nuclear medicine, she enjoys beekeeping.
MIGUEL BOSCH, Historian
Miguel graduated from Georgia College and State University with a bachelors degree in Biology, and then attended the Medical College of Georgia Nuclear Medicine program. He graduated From the Medical College of Georgia Magna Cum Laude in 2012 and received the 2012 Antonio Molini Award. He is currently a PRN technologist at University Hospital and Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Outside of nuclear medicine Miguel enjoys spending time and vacationing with his wife and family.
